1. Who controls your data

2. What we collect
- Booking details: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, vehicle registration, postcode and the service you requested.
- Enquiry record: the IP address and browser the enquiry was sent from, and the page it was sent from. We use this to detect automated and fraudulent submissions and to attribute genuine enquiries to our advertising.
- Service records: work carried out, parts fitted, mileage and any advisories.
- Call recordings: calls may be recorded for quality and training.
- Advertising attribution: click identifiers such as GCLID, GBRAID and WBRAID, the referring page, and campaign parameters, so we can measure which adverts produce bookings.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages viewed, through analytics and call-tracking tools.
3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

4. Who we share it with
We share data with the technician assigned to your booking, our payment processor, our call-tracking and analytics providers, and our accountants. Enquiry records are held in Google Workspace.
Where we measure which advert produced a booking, we send Google an irreversible SHA-256 hash of your email address or phone number, never the address or number itself, and only where you consented to advertising cookies. A hash cannot be reversed to recover the original value. This may involve transfers outside the UK under approved safeguards. We do not sell your data.
5. How long we keep it
Booking and service records are kept for six years, to cover statutory record-keeping and the limitation period for any claim. IP addresses and browser details attached to an enquiry are kept for 12 months and then removed. Call recordings are kept for up to 12 months. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the tools listed in our cookie policy.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@motorservicing.co.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
7. Security
Data is held on access-controlled systems with encryption in transit. Card payments are processed by our payment provider and we do not store full card details.
