Terms and conditions

1. Who we are

Motor Servicing is a trading name of Fuel Fixer Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 08520551, registered office Fairway House, Portland Road, East Grinstead, West Sussex, RH19 4ET. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean that company.

2. The service

We provide mobile vehicle servicing, oil changes, diagnostic health checks and battery replacement at an address you nominate. Work is carried out by qualified technicians using parts of manufacturer-matching quality.

We do not carry out MOT testing, which by law may only be performed at an approved test station, and we do not carry out work requiring a vehicle lift, wheel alignment equipment or tyre fitting equipment.

3. Location requirements

The vehicle must be located on a private driveway or private land, on a flat and stable surface, with sufficient space to work safely around the entire vehicle. We cannot carry out work on a public road, a shared access road, a public car park or a pay-and-display bay.

You are responsible for obtaining any permission required from the owner or occupier of the premises before the technician arrives, and for confirming that access is available at the agreed time.

4. Prices and payment

Prices shown on this website are starting prices, include VAT, and cover travel to your address. The price applicable to your vehicle is confirmed to you before the booking is finalised. That confirmed price will not change after the work is carried out, unless you agree to additional work.

Payment is due on completion, by card. Where flexible payment options are offered, the terms are explained before any work begins.

5. Additional work

If the technician identifies work beyond the booked service, they will explain what has been found and what it would cost. No additional work is carried out without your express agreement.

6. Cancellation and access

You may cancel or reschedule at no charge up to 24 hours before the agreed window. Where a technician attends and the work cannot be carried out because the vehicle is unavailable, the location is unsuitable, or access has not been arranged, a charge may apply to cover the wasted attendance.

Where consumer cancellation rights apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, those rights are not affected by this clause.

7. Weather and safety

We may postpone a booking where weather or site conditions make the work unsafe, including standing water, ice, or high wind. Postponement for this reason is at no charge and we will offer the next available slot.

8. Guarantee

Parts supplied and labour carried out by us are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, against defective parts and defective workmanship. The guarantee does not cover fair wear and tear, damage caused by misuse or accident, or faults arising from work carried out by others.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the price paid for that booking, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill, are not affected.

10. Complaints and governing law

If something goes wrong, our complaints procedure sets out how to raise it and what happens next. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
