What to do
- Check what your car is due. 12 months or 12,000 miles since the last full service means a full service is due. Not sure? Tell us the mileage and we will work it out.
- Book a morning or afternoon window. We confirm the fixed price for your registration first, so nothing changes on the day.
- Hand over the keys. You need to be there at the start and the end, not in between.
What actually happens on the day
The technician arrives inside your window, checks the car and the space, and gets to work. Oil out, new filter, new oil in to your manufacturer's specification, air filter on a full service, then the inspection: brake pad thickness and tyre tread measured in millimetres, steering and suspension play, lights, wipers, washers, battery condition, belts, hoses and a leak check.
Anything found is explained to you before it is touched. Nothing extra is carried out without your say-so, and the old parts and used oil leave with the technician.
Which service does your car need at home?
The same rules apply as anywhere else:
- Interim service every 6 months or 6,000 miles, if you cover high mileage
- Full service every 12 months or 12,000 miles, the standard annual option
- Major service every 24 months or 24,000 miles

If you have no driveway
The work has to happen on private land, so a public road will not do. The usual workaround is a workplace car park with the site manager's permission, or a relative's driveway nearby. See what to do if you have no driveway.
