What to do
- Give us your registration and postcode. That is enough for us to work out what your car takes and who covers your area.
- We call you back with a fixed price. You get the exact figure for your vehicle, and pick a morning or afternoon window, Monday to Saturday.
- The technician arrives with everything. Parts, oil, tools, lighting and power. You hand over the keys and get on with your day.
What a mobile mechanic can do at your address
Rather more than most people expect. Servicing at every level, oil and filter changes, diagnostic fault-code reading, battery testing and replacement, brake pads and discs on most cars, bulbs, wipers and fluid checks. None of it needs a ramp.
What genuinely does need a workshop: MOT testing, which is legally restricted to approved test stations, tyre fitting and wheel alignment, and anything requiring a four-post lift such as clutch or gearbox work. Any operator who claims otherwise is worth a second look.
What you need at your end
- Private land: a driveway, private parking space or private car park. Not a public road or a shared access road.
- A flat surface with room to work all the way around the car.
- Permission from whoever owns the site, if it is not your own property.
That is the whole list. We bring our own power and lighting, so you do not need to run an extension lead out of a window.
Is it worth it compared with a garage?
On price, mobile sits in the same band as a good independent garage and well below a main dealer. The difference is the part nobody prices: two journeys, a wait or a lift home, and half a day gone.
